This week’s photo challenge asks to share a photo of something that says “resilient” to me, something that has endured.

Wow, this was an easy one. I instantly thought “Sawyer.”

While my husband and I have felt like we have fought a battle this year with his social emotional struggles, Sawyer never skipped a beat.

He got up, dusted himself off, and keeps going. Obviously, he has his lows, but every morning he wakes up with a smile and tries again. Now if that isn’t resilience, I don’t know what is.

Thank you Sawyer for teaching me even when things seem terrible, tomorrow is a new start.

I took this photo of him during bath time. Sawyer was shocked at all the bubbles and couldn’t stop laughing. I love how this photo portrays his lively spirit and most importantly when I look in his bright eyes I see optimism!
